PIKOM PC FAIR

hi guys,.I just finished shower here after back from PIKOM PC FAIR..

huh? what am i doing so late at this hour? well, my dear readers, I am a part of a laptop sales team! yeah.. should I mention about the brands? will the companies sue me? they will, if I make false accusation, which is then  I do not have such intention.. haha.. really yo..

No. 1 rule of thumb for a salesman is: BE CONFIDENT OF THE BRAND THAT YOU ARE PRESENTING! not to mention BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF

Rule No. 2: HAVE THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR BRAND

Rule No. 3: ACCESS CUSTOMER'S NEEDS, BUDGET ETC

Rule No. 4: SHY? SAVING FACE AINT GONNA EARN YOU $$!

Rule No. 5: NEAT APPEARANCE.

Rule No. 6: GOOD ATTITUDE! TEAMWORK AMONG SALES TEAM MEMBERS!

Nah... If you are smart enough, those are really common sense rules..  for those language nerds who over emphasize on vocab, think again.. you need to convey easy to understand information to customers. Not test their intelligence or vocab comprehension! you're better off writing some Shakespeare's works if that may earn you $$... err.. did i stub someone again? I don't think so...

Sales team leaders also need to play their role properly. It is understandable that they are given sales target from the principal but they need to divert the pressure in a motivating way to their sales team members. Don't rule like some iron fist wacko. That was just an example in an extreme situation. We all need to work in a happy and healthy environment.  After all, job satisfaction often outweighs the pay, no matter how you put it. I am glad that my team leader is nice. hehehe..

Self motivation and communication skills are also crucial in this fast paced sales race. If you think you are a member of a public speaking club for quite some time and you think your communication skill is second to none, think again, buster. Its not just about guts, its about a whole new level of communication! I've seen how the president of a public speaking club bowed down to pressure and then quit on the last day. You know what? Rehearsed speech is totally out of league in this game of fast wit and manipulation. I am not gonna argue with that. Do you?

Well, I am just touching on the surface of the my whole experience and insight during the 3 days event. As aforementioned by my title, please wait for the second part of my post. I need to catch some winks...
